Farmer’s Bounty

I have been loving the farmers markets this summer!  Some recent eats include breakfast potatoes made from diced red potatoes, onion, salt, pepper, garlic and other seasonings and oil – cooked until tender on the inside and browned and crispy on the outside.  Another recent love is kale chips made from torn kale leaves with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and baked until crispy.

Last weekend I enjoyed some fresh-picked raspberries and strawberries.  Wow – what a difference from store-bought berries.  The strawberries were so fragrant – so sweet they almost smelled like candy!  I can’t wait to hit the market again this weekend.  I hope to pick up some baby bok choy, along with my new staples of kale, potatoes and onions.
